With an all-brick exterior and a convenient location just off the M1, the Castle Hotel is a former 17th century farmhouse overlooking the atmospheric ruins of the moated Kirby Muxloe Castle. Originally the castles farmhouse, this traditional pub with rooms was once the biggest employer in the local area, producing quality Leicestershire cheese. Inside the property still retains much of its historical charm, with open fires in winter, candlelight dining in the evenings, and al fresco dining during the summer months.
